Vice President of TV Production Technology
Filiz Bahmanpour is Vice President of TV Production Technology at NBCUniversal. She oversees technology strategy and solution delivery for the country’s largest and most successful production companies including UTV, UCP, UTA and Wilshire Studios.
Some of the industry-leading solutions implemented under Filiz’s leadership include production system for late night shows which brought her an EMMY recognition with SNL, digital crew onboarding, competitive metadata intelligence for studio development and production, financial data warehouse, production asset management, and idea to air digitization of studio business workflows.
Prior to her current role, Filiz held progressive technology leadership roles within Filmed Entertainment Technology at NBCUniversal. As the director of Title Management and Rights, she developed and rolled out an enterprise-wide intellectual property and rights system. Before that, she was a program manager responsible from large initiatives for Universal Pictures involving global box office projections, global film release date planning, and international theatrical distribution.
Before NBCUniversal, Filiz worked in tech start-ups in LA and as a tech consultant in financials industry in New York.
Filiz serves in the leadership committees of notable diversity and inclusion initiatives including Comcast & NBCUniversal TECHWomen and APA - Asian Pacific American employee resource group. Strong advocate for STEAM education, she is involved in FIRST Robotics mentorship program.
Filiz, born and studied in Istanbul, holds BA in Mass Communication & Media. After university education, she began her career at Star TV and worked in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather in Istanbul. She is married and has one daughter. She resides in Los Angeles.
